Have they confirmed a manual option on the Z07?

Oh man if that is the competition.... I don't know how to feel. If the new Z06 was more of an evolution of the last Z06 instead of the ZR1 I'd definitely say Z06.

Z06 w/Z07 package please.

I believe so, yes.

Well, I'm pretty sure a new Z06 will walk an SLS Black. I don't know if we will walk Germany tho.

Could agree more about the cars, I also agree that we will be hard presed to challenge germany today

It probably will but I don't know if I will like it better. Maybe if there is a top trim track focused no concessions model. I'm not dragging out the auto vs manual argument because for something that really is track focused there is no reason to fight modern automatics. I hate the fact you can get a convertible Z06 now.

If you could get a manual SLS Black, there would be no contest. But, since you can't, it becomes less clear for me. In a perfect world, I would have both.

You could get a Z06 convertible with the C6 generation, it just wasn't called the Z06, it was called the 427.

The 427 was on the steel frame, not the aluminum Z06 frame. It's not a Z06 convertible and even if it was at least Chevy had the sense not to call it one. It would be like Porsche calling a convertible 911 a GT3 RS

Manual or not, I'd have to go with the Merc. hands down. I know you can argue back and forth, but I'm just not interested in the 'Vette. The only 'Vette I've ever cared for is the C5. Something about the subtlety of the lines made it not-so-bad.
